The BioGRID WEB Database (not to be confused with the World Wide Web) is a suite of tables engineered to drive our public BioGRID search interface. These tables are finely tuned to reduce the average response time required to return query results to the user over the internet. Each table has a specific function and derives all data from the CORE. These tables are used only for SQL SELECT queries, and are custom built and indexed to reduce the time required for common searches. The WEB is designed to be completely flexible and adapt to changing requirements of new and existing development efforts while maintaining a consistency in speed when being used by production applications.
