BioGRID ORCS Download Format Details

BioGRID ORCS provides several file formats for download via our download page. Each file format is outlined below with information on what types of information is available in each column and situations where you might want to use each.

Recommended File Formats (recommended for all new projects)

Index File (*.index.tab.txt) - A screen index file containing annotation about the screen itself (this format accompanies screen.tab and matrix.tab files.
Screen File (*.screen.tab.txt) - A tab delimited file for containing a single screen worth of score values
Matrix File (*.matrix.tab.txt) - A matrix containing multiple screens and multiple score values lined up with common gene names

REST Service Only File Formats

JSON - JavaScript Object Notation formatted files.
